Independent Reading for SFUSD Students
In SFUSD, we value the love of reading and expect that you will be reading widely both fiction and nonfiction titles of your choosing.

The Humanities Department has compiled
independent reading selections for students in grades 6-12
.  You are not limited to choosing texts from our Independent Reading list for independent reading - these are suggested titles presented for your consideration.

We highly encourage you to visit the public library to select these texts and others from their expansive collections.
