Mr. Reddy's Writing Workshop
In this video, Mr. Reddy teaches a mini lesson modeling the use of outlines for    paragraph organization, leads an invitational group on breaking down the paragraph writing process into more manageable chunks, and closes with a reflection session using the head, heart, and feet activity.

Ms. Pasternak's Reading Workshop
In this video, Ms. Pasternack teaches a mini-lesson on determining importance during a Readers’ Workshop, confers with students during the composing session, and closes with a reflection session where students share with elbow partners what they determined to be important in their reading.

In this Video, Ms. Castro leads an invitational group during the composing session.  Before the lesson, Ms. Castro used student personal narratives as a diagnostic assessment to identify students who need more instruction with formatting dialogue. Ms. Castro works with this group while other students work independently.

Ms. Castro's Reflection Session
In this video, Ms. Castro connects reading with writing in a reflection session where students share with a partner one piece of dialogue that develops character or plot, or a piece of dialogue that shows something they want to try in their own writing.  The reflection session helps students synthesize their understandings.
